There’s a song by Dr Juanita Bynum titled “My Life”. I absolutely love this song. It’s a simple song, the lyrics are not many and the chorus is a repetition of one sentence “my life will never be the same”. Every time I listen to this song, it gets me thinking…Once you experience Christ for real, your life can never ever be the same. The experience is unexplainable. He completely turns your life around, sweeps you off your feet, and showers you with so much love such that at some point, you begin to think…what have I done to deserve such love? I get so overwhelmed sometimes because I really cannot comprehend, with my human mind, the extent of God’s love for me!

I once had the opportunity to listen to a man of God who said, he could not even think about going back to being an unbeliever even if he tried! That’s where we ought to be because an encounter with Christ should totally and completely turn our lives around. Dr Juanita’s song says…

Where do we go from here in Your presence?
How do we continue to live our lives the same?
How do we try to explain this experience
that we had right here,
right here in Your presence?

Really and truly, once we encounter Christ, we cannot live our lives the same. The radiance of His glory alone cannot allow that. Chris Tomlin sings in his song “How great is our God” that our Lord wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide and that they tremble at His voice. We can never ever be able to really and truly explain the experience of Christ in our lives. Sometimes, I sit or stand in His presence and I just weep because His love for me overwhelms me. I wake up in the morning and I know that He truly loves me because I am alive to face another day basking in His love…another day experiencing His goodness…another day being loved by the Father and loving Him back…another day experiencing the Holy Spirit who Jesus Christ sent after His departure to be our Companion, Friend, Confidant, Teacher and Comforter.

Oh yes, there are struggles…Oh yes, we are no where near perfect…But He loves us all the same…

HOW DO WE THEN TRY TO EXPLAIN THE EXPERIENCE WE HAVE…IN HIS PRESENCE? I’ll never be able to properly describe or explain this feeling..Why? Because each time is better than the previous..and it only keeps getting better and better, sweeter and sweeter…glorious and even more glorious…You’ve got to experience this to understand!!

Don’t wait too long to experience His awesome love…time is running out!!
