I wrote this piece some months ago and featured it on my blog back then. Just thought I should share it again and I pray it blesses someone. I’ve been on a brand new journey since I wrote this piece, and the experience so far has been overwhelming in so many ways and through it all God remains ever faithful and ever loving. Enjoy…

This is the question I seem to ask myself lately due to recent events in my personal life…and the reason I ask is because without God in my life right now and the people he has placed in my life, I would not be able to face another day with a smile on my face. Knowing that He is my Father, and He really does have my back..and that “he shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways” (Psalm 91v11) is enough reason to wake up with a praise and a thank you on my lips. It really is not a cliche, God is good ALL the time…and once you’ve experienced His love, awesomeness, goodness, mercy, grace, LOVE, LOVE,LOVE,LOVE…you really cannot go anywhere else…No matter what happens (and like I always tell Him) I can only come back to Him cos there’s no where else I can go…Nobody will ever know me as much as God knows me…Nobody will ever know you as much as God knows you…

In Isaiah 49v16a God says “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…” So He knows our name, knows our every thought, sees every tear that falls…..and hears us when we call Him…even after we may have fallen short, even after we have nailed Him continuously to the cross…when we come with true remorse and ask for forgiveness, He still forgives us!! Where can you ever find One like that?

So today, the song my heart is singing is “Love You So Much” by Hillsong United cos really, I cannot but love this God who has redeemed me and taken me back even after all my shortcomings. Nobody said it would be easy to be a believer because living as a believer in this harsh world is a bit like pulling out your tooth with a plier but you know what? “He promised that He will be with us till the end of this age” (Matthew 28v20).

So…have you been yearning to know this God a lot more and dedicate your life fully to Him but you’re unsure how you can make it in this world we live in where everything that seems like the norm is actually not? Please find your way to God because in Him, everything will make sense, in Him you can really begin to live and not just exist, in Him you can and will achieve anything!

Are you a believer and struggling with certain habits or sins?Take your burdens to the Lord and leave it there…approach His throne of grace with a broken spirit and a contrite heart, which the Lord will never despise…He’s waiting….waiting…
