He Will Take Care Of You
There are times in our lives that we just feel things are not going the way they should. You don’t have that high flying job that you’ve dreamt so much about. Your job is not paying you the dream salary you’ve always wanted. Your bank account ain’t looking the way you want it to. Your dream woman or man is nowhere in sight. That business you’ve been wanting to start up is not even at the start line of the race.
We almost begin to complain, grumble, and even give up…Yes!! Believers go through all of that too. Even though somewhere at the back of your mind, you know God has got your back, you still wonder if there’s something you can do on your own….Maybe if I…..What If I…Shouldn’t I just…Little by little, you don’t consult God any more. The Holy Spirit becomes an entity chilling in the corner somewhere…an entity in the background….
What I can tell you and what I know for sure is that God does have your back. He hasn’t forgotten you and if you become sensitive to things around you, you’ll notice that He’s actually setting things in motion so that His plans for you and for your life are manifested. You’ll notice that He’s sending people your way so that your purpose in life can be fulfilled. Rom 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” So as a child of God, regardless of how things may seem now, there’s no way you would not prosper. An anointed woman of God I know once told me that regardless of what game the enemy may be playing, your destination is sure, so no doubt, “it’s still all good and it’s still going to be all good”. This wonderful woman of God also pointed out that when it seems that it’s all going topsy turvy, the enemy is throwing in last tantrums to distract you; because he knows that the time to receive your favour is near.
The God we serve is a loving God, a caring Father and He’ll always take care of you. He’ll never leave you nor forsake you. This promise can be found in several places in the bible, a constant reminder that God will always take care of His own. Joshua 1:9 says “Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go”.
In the New Testament, Heb 13:5&6 says “Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never abandon you”. Let us be bold, then, and say: The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”
With this in mind, who can stand in your way? Whatever you my be going through, stand tall, shoulders high, chin up, knowing that you can rest assured that He will take care of you.
Prayer: Father Lord I thank you because you’re a loving God and a gracious Father. I thank you because I know that whoever walks with you can never be disappointed. I thank you because whatever it is I may be going through now is to prepare me for what you have in store for me and it is so that I can testify of your goodness in my life. Lord, I ask that you forgive me for any complaining or grumbling that I may have done in relation to my situation, and for any doubts that I may have had.
Father I ask that you grant me the patience required for such a time as this. I ask that you help me to be sensitive to the things of the Spirit and to situations, circumstances and people sent my way, for my advancement. You have promised that you’ll never leave me nor forsake me; I therefore stand on this promise today. I ask that you grant me peace, which surpasses all understanding to keep my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Thank you Lord for I know you have answered, as I ask all these in Jesus name. Amen!
Word of the day…
Psalm 27:1 – The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
